3D Design Overview
Advantages
The new swirling duct-burner combustion system, combined with the application of gypsum board drying, takes away moisture from a large amount of circulating air heating. Compared with the traditional duct-burner combustion system, the advantages are as follows:

Introduction of Swirl Pipeline Combustion System
A. Burner design
The ANM77 series burner body and air distribution plate are made of stainless steel; the burner body supplies fuel to the center, and the air distribution plate provides combustion air to the center, fully mixing the air and fuel inside the burner body to optimize emissions and efficiency
1. The ignition system use a separate ignition pilot, with stable performance
2. The burner turn-down ratio is large, 40:1
3. Compact structure, with high capacity and small space required
4. Modular assembly, can be customized according to site requirements

6. Easy maintenance. The side plates, fins and body can be replaced without taking the complete burner apart.
The design of the hot air drying burner should take into account the mixing effect with the process air. The traditional linear burner flame from burner, it is almost directly forwarded in a straight line, and the mixing with the process air only depends on the convection caused by the temperature difference and the adjustment of the profile plate.
In order to further improve the gas mixing effect, Anderson Thermal Solutions designed a burner with a special combustion air swirl structure, as shown below. The combustion air rotates into the combustion area, and after mixing with natural gas, the high-temperature flame rotates out and mixes with the process air, which greatly enhances the mixing effect.
B. CFD
Through CFD simulation analysis, it can be seen that the mixing effect of the new swirl burner and the traditional burner is different

By comparison, it is found that the exhaust gas produced by the combustion of the new burner has a good mixing effect with the circulating air, the temperature distribution is much more uniform, and the temperature difference is greatly reduced.
C. Control system
Due to the cross-limiting ratio control, the fuel flow rate is selected between the temperature setting value and the air ratio, and the combustion air flow rate is selected between the temperature setting value and the fuel ratio.
PROJECT CASE
A gypsum board manufacturer in Chongqing upgraded the original traditional combustion system and adopted our ANM77 series swirling pipe combustion system
1. The control system is equipped with HMI and information is visualized;
2. Using cross-limiting ratio control, the combustion is complete;
3. Energy consumption is reduced, and energy saves about 6% @high fire;
4. The emission is improved,and the emission of NOX and CO is reduced;
5. The temperature output is stable, and the temperature control accuracy can be within ±0.5℃;
